I also added the building in the right corner to the depot (gave the windows a glow), it makes everything just a tad more balanced!

added the depot owner, who looks pretty creepy like this.
I've added some ghosty boys too.
I've tweaked the colors and composition slightly too to make everything a bit more balanced. I also thought it would be cool to have the depot sign light up (which balances everything a bit more too.

I've flipped the girl around compared to the sketch, I think this works really well.
I've also added some bottles of no-brand mouthwash and I thought it could be cool if the skeleton's armory is a coffin on wheels.

the righ edge of the image might change a bit when I do the next screen, since I need to make the perspective make sense there. but I think we're pretty close already.

I went with a more colourful palette so that the creepiness of 13th street further down the line hits a bit harder!

I've changed the girls hair and outfit, changed the guy on the right to have dark hair and a darker skin tone and I gave all the monsters pupils and rounded off their teeth, I think they're less horrific now :D

this is a preview image, the actual image is a lot higher res.
I've modernised the characters a bit while still keeping them recognisable from their book versions. I quite like them.
as far as I could figure out I've managed to add all the monsters from the book series in this image! I took some artistic liberties here and there (mainly the owl looking a bit more monstrous)
